Thanks so much for your kind words. I’m so glad you enjoy HM’s blog. I’ve tried to make it a combination of information about how to use props and general information about yoga practice. I appreciate your feedback!

I did not realize for a LONG time you had a blog on this site. I usually scroll through quickly and sometimes not at all depending if I’m looking for a new mat or prop. I cannot tell you how happy and inspired I am reading ALL of your blogs. I’ve read articles by you in the past and am always learning something new I can practice for myself and share with my students!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

That’s so great! I still have a Nature Collection mat from the first batch HM made. They’re great mats, and obviously, they last.

Comment on Restorative Yoga and Yin Yoga: Same or Different? by Charlotte Bell https://www.huggermugger.com/blog/2023/restorative-yoga-and-yin-yoga-same-or-different/#comment-35001 Mon, 04 Aug 2025 14:45:08 +0000 https://www.huggermugger.com/?p=256589#comment-35001 In reply to Sherry.

Hi,

I’m sorry to hear you broke your tibia/fibula, but glad to know that it’s healing. I understand that that type of injury can take a while. Speaking as a person who’s a yoga teacher, and not a doctor or physical therapist, I’d say that Restorative Yoga would probably be fine to practice. I can’t say for sure about Yin Yoga. You might want to research it a bit, and then check in with your orthopedist or physical therapist to see what they think. Happy healing!

Would this yoga be ok for me to do? I’m a 64 yr old woman. Bones seem to be fine other then the leg.

Comment on Why Bendy People Might Not Make the Best Yoga Teachers by Adamina Harrison https://www.huggermugger.com/blog/2025/why-bendy-people-might-not-make-the-best-yoga-teachers-2/#comment-34933 Mon, 21 Jul 2025 06:17:39 +0000 https://www.huggermugger.com/?p=365361#comment-34933 This really spoke to me. It’s so true that struggling through a pose can make you a more thoughtful teacher. Being bendy doesn’t always mean you can teach well. Thanks for sharing your honest journey. It’s inspiring. Using yoga blocks in Camel Pose is such a great idea. makes it feel much more open and safe, especially for the breath. I love how you remind us to focus on ease rather than depth.
